Clinical externships are hands-on at an approved medical facility within a 30-mile radius of student’s home or workplace. Regarding virtual clinicals, the student may choose to have an online (virtual clinical) via simulation trailing, subject to approval. This option is primarily suitable for travel nurses on assignment or during times of global health crises or public health emergency.
