It is a type of insurance that is required for student nurses interacting with patients during hands-on clinical externships. Normal insurance policies and bonds for medical facilities only cover qualified and duly licensed individuals who are employed within the facility; unfortunately, students do not fall into that category and therefore must have an insurance bond of their own.
