If a potential applicant has a minimum of four (4) years work experience on their license, then they may apply to the program if it has been less than two (2) years since the license expired. Each licensing board usually allows a maximum of 2 years grace period within which the license can be reinstated.

After that two-year period passes, they would need to (in most cases) start over from the beginning then reapply for a new license. As a result, we have a two-year limit on license expirations.
